Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing, or related field.
• Experience in strategic communications, public relations, or community engagement.
• Exceptional written, verbal, interpersonal, and visual communication skills.
• Ability to translate complex information for broad audiences.
• Experience developing internal and external communication strategies.
• Storytelling across digital media, photography, videography, social media, web, and print.
• Ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders and engage communities.
• Sound judgment, discretion, and professionalism in sensitive situations.
• Public education/public agency experience preferred.
• Public Records Officer training or willingness to obtain within 90 days.
• Valid driver's license in WashingtonState.
