Job summary

The Salvation Army Southern CA Division is seeking an Activities Coordinator to organize and run client activities for DMH programs at Glendale Corps. You will plan monthly calendars, organize a range of activities, and coordinate volunteers and partners to support engaging programming.

Ideal candidates communicate well, maintain a welcoming environment, and manage supplies within budget. Must meet physical requirements and have a valid CA driver’s license where applicable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing.
• Visual and auditory ability to identify hazards at the site.
• Mobility to stand/walk for long periods and lift up to 20 lbs.
• Ability to sit, stand, bend, squat, climb and twist as needed.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a monthly activity calendar for DMH clients.
• Organize and facilitate activities (arts/crafts, games, exercise, workshops, life skills, holidays, outings).
• Encourage resident participation and foster an inclusive environment.
• Coordinate volunteers and community partners for events.
• Monitor attendance and gather feedback to improve programming.
• Purchase and maintain activity supplies within budgets.
