Job summary

The Salvation Army Southern California Division seeks a Social Services Director to lead the Glendale-Burbank Corps social and food service programs. You will supervise staff and ensure HIPAA-compliant recordkeeping across multiple sites.

You will oversee HMIS Wellsky and collaborate with community partners, driving program outcomes, grants compliance, and staff development in a mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• BA degree in social work or related field (MSW preferred) and five years’ experience in social services, including at least one year in a supervisory position.
• Experience in working effectively with clients, staff, and others of diverse backgrounds and experiences.
• Experience working with Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint.
• Must possess a valid California driver’s license and pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance and technical supervision to the Food Pantry Services Aides. Supervise the Burbank Storage Program Meals on wheels, Mobile Food Truck, and other programs.
• Ensure accurate and timely statistical data is collected and entered, in client files and electronically in HMIS Wellsky Programs.
• Respond to client requests and concerns, working with appropriate personnel as needed.
• Develop and monitor staff training opportunities.
• Gain and maintain knowledge of HMIS and reporting software; ensure client records meet HIPAA requirements.
• Network with area non-profit and social services providers to grow programs and resources.
