Job summary

Atria Senior Living is seeking an on-site Activities Assistant to lead Engage Life programs and provide engaging recreational activities for residents in our San Jose community. The role supports planning events, coordinating activities, and promoting an active aging lifestyle.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and the ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Able to write simple correspondence.
Able to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.

Responsibilities

Leads assigned Engage Life programs to enhance residents’ lives.
Provides diverse recreational activities with supervision.
Develops programs for residents, including those who may be confined to rooms.
Engages and motivates residents to participate in activities.
Informs residents of upcoming activities and maintains a current events schedule.
Greets new residents and helps integrate them into the community.
Plans parties and seasonal decorations and coordinates monthly birthday celebrations.
Supports census-building initiatives and engages volunteers for programs.
May drive the company vehicle to social and other destinations if required.
Performs other duties as needed.
