Job summary

CorSource Technology Group in Portland, OR is seeking an experienced Business Analyst for a contract engagement in the energy and utilities sector. You will analyze business needs, gather requirements, and support large-scale data, process, and system improvements across multiple sites.

You will create documentation, dashboards, and reports using Excel, SQL, Tableau, or Power BI, collaborate with stakeholders, and help manage change and testing through UAT and deployments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of professional experience in business analysis, preferably in utilities, energy, or regulated environments.
• Demonstrated experience with requirements gathering, documentation, and business process improvement.
• Strong technical writing, verbal communication, and presentation skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Elicit, document, and analyze business and technical requirements through stakeholder interviews, workshops, and existing systems documentation.
• Translate stakeholder needs into business cases, use cases, process maps, and user stories.
• Conduct current and future state gap analysis and propose solution alternatives.
• Support feasibility studies, cost/benefit analysis, and what-if modeling to evaluate operational changes.
• Develop technical and operational documentation such as standard operating procedures, system configuration notes, and support materials.
• Present analysis findings and recommendations to internal teams, executives, or project sponsors.
