Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. seeks a self-starter to join the AWS Energy team, defining end-to-end power strategy for AWS data centers across the Americas.

You will manage large, multi-geography energy projects, coordinate with utilities and internal teams, and drive initiatives from concept to execution with a focus on net-zero energy delivery. The ideal candidate will have a strong energy background, experience with regulated electric utilities, and proven ability to negotiate power supply

Qualifications

• Strong energy background and proven track record of developing and delivering energy projects.
• Experience with regulated electric utilities to develop, contract and deliver medium and high voltage power infrastructure.
• Ability to think strategically about the business, operations, and technical challenges.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive utilities strategy for AWS data centers for AMER regions.
• Manage multiple Utilities, EPC and Owner's Engineers to deliver MV and HV power infrastructure, including negotiations and contracting.
• Develop and execute energy strategies that leverage capital projects to reduce long term energy costs and manage budgets for electrical infra and energy projects.
• Work with Amazon CFE/RE team to support development of strategic energy sourcing opportunities.
• Execute electricity supply contracts that create new clean energy capacity on the grid, reduce cost and minimize risk.
• Manage a portfolio of energy projects across multiple geographies.
