Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. seeks a senior energy program leader to define and execute AWS data center power strategies across the Americas. You will coordinate utilities, EPCs, and Owner’s Engineers to deliver high and medium voltage infrastructure, negotiate contracts, and advance renewable energy initiatives.

You will drive capital project strategies, manage budgets, and report progress to executive stakeholders, shaping AWS energy supply contracts and cost-saving opportunities globally.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in utility/energy industry in a commercial/business development or technical role
• 3+ years of power transaction or contracting experience in US East (PJM & MISO) energy markets
• 2+ years managing multiple million dollar power infrastructure contracts with external stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive utilities strategy for AWS data centers for AMER regions.
• Manage multiple Utilities, EPC and Owner's Engineers to deliver MV and HV power infrastructure, including negotiations and contracting.
• Develop and execute energy strategies that leverage capital projects to reduce long term energy costs and manage budgets.
• Work with internal teams to support development of strategic energy sourcing opportunities.
• Execute electricity supply contracts that create new clean energy capacity on the grid and reduce cost.
