Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a senior leader to define and execute AWS’s energy strategy for data center infrastructure in the Americas.

The role involves coordinating with utilities, EPCs, and internal teams to develop end-to-end power solutions, including renewable integration and cost optimization. The candidate will manage complex contracts, regulate interfaces with utilities, and drive projects to completion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or business or technical field.
• 7+ years in utility/energy industry in a commercial/business development or technical role.
• 3+ years of power transaction or contracting experience in US energy markets, with models and interconnection experience.
• 2+ years managing multi-million-dollar power infrastructure contracts with external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and execution of a comprehensive utilities strategy for AWS data centres in AMER regions.
• Manage multiple Utilities, EPC and Owner's Engineers to deliver MV and HV power infrastructure.
• Develop and execute energy strategies leveraging capital projects to reduce long-term energy costs.
• Negotiate and execute energy supply contracts with utilities across AWS regions.
• Oversee a portfolio of complex energy projects and coordinate with internal and external partners.
