Delta Electronics Americas is seeking a System Engineer to support the pre-sales process for utility-scale Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), PV, and Microgrid solutions. You will develop technical proposals, model system performance, and design MV equipment.

You will collaborate with sales, coordinate with R&D teams in Asia, and respond to RFPs with precise documentation to meet customer specs and standards.

Formación

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in utility-scale BESS, PV and/or Microgrid projects.
• Ability to travel up to 10%.

Responsabilidades

• Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer needs and translate them into technical solutions.
• Develop detailed technical proposals for BESS, PV, and microgrid solutions, including system architecture, control layers, product selection, and performance modeling.
• Design and specify MV equipment such as transformers, switchgear, and protection systems.
• Ensure high availability through redundancy design and reliability calculations.
• Support modeling of grid impact and system behavior under various operating conditions.
• Analyze system performance and degradation based on customer application.
• Evaluate grid interconnection requirements and ensure compliance with utility standards (IEEE 2800, UL 1741, etc.).
• Create preliminary single-line diagrams (SLDs), layout drawings, and system configurations for utility-scale projects.
• Work with R&D teams in Asia to ensure alignment between proposed solutions and product capabilities.
• Support responses to RFPs/RFQs with accurate and compelling technical documentation.
• Participate in customer meetings and presentations to explain system capabilities and value propositions.
• Provide market feedback to product teams regarding trends, customer needs, and competitive positioning.
