Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking an Energy Storage Project Executive to provide leadership and oversight across multiple projects nationwide. The role allows full remote or hybrid work with regular in-office presence in San Diego, CA.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of work-related experience in design and/or construction of utility or commercial/industrial infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge related to the construction and operation of electrical equipment and installation.
• Fundamental knowledge of contract law and project accounting.
• Leadership ability to pull together team members from diverse backgrounds in a remote environment and organize them into a cohesive, high‑performing project team.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills to work with others under all situations.
• Ability to work, analyze, troubleshoot and prioritize problems independently.
• Effective written and verbal English communication skills.
• Proficiency and knowledge in office practices, procedures and equipment.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize and coordinate.
• P6 scheduling experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight of multiple project teams.
• Review and negotiate complex contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Review and approve project schedules, estimates, budgets, and profit margin.
• Make project level executive decisions on critical aspects of the work involving significant cost and risk impacts to the company.
• Provide leadership and oversight of complex change management events involving Owners, Subcontractors, and/or regulating entities.
• Provide support to other departments including business development, estimating, and services.
• Hire, train, and mentor team members for a variety of roles on project teams.
• Support the development of standards and processes to improve the business.
• Work with the project execution team to understand multiple work disciplines and lead scheduling, cost control, and procurement.
• Develop and maintain good relationship with Owner, Engineer, and Subcontractors; build strong partnerships while notifying owner of impacts.
• Maintain timely reporting to management, especially cost forecasting and cost at completion.
• Oversee preparation of project billings and maximize cash flow; review aged receivables in owner meetings.
• Present and negotiate change orders with owner for timely resolution.
• Coordinate and document routine project update meetings with client and internal stakeholders.
• Coordinate with the project team to identify needs and hire third parties to execute the work.
• Coordinate with material suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and address logistics challenges.
• Review contract conditions; ensure compliance with terms.
• Supervise documentation of significant project events.
• Manage project risk with mitigation plans.
