Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking an Energy Storage Project Executive to lead parallel projects nationwide, coordinating engineering, project controls, finance, and field operations with accountability for bottom-line profit. This role can be fully remote or hybrid with in-office presence in San Diego, CA.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of work-related experience in design and/or construction of utility or commercial/industrial infrastructure projects.
• Experience leading multiple projects with profit accountability and strong client management.
• Proven ability to negotiate contracts and manage project schedules, budgets, and risk.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight of multiple project teams simultaneously.
• Review and negotiate complex contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Review and approve project schedules, estimates, budgets, and profit margin.
• Make project level executive decisions on critical aspects of the work involving significant cost and risk impacts to the company.
• Provide leadership and oversight of complex change management events involving Owners, Subcontractors, and/or regulating entities.
• Provide support to other departments including business development, estimating, and services.
• Hire, train, and mentor team members for a variety of roles on project teams.
• Oversee preparation of project billings; seek to maximize cash flow in and reduce pay cycles through diligent & strategic billing preparation.
• Coordinate, lead, and document routine project update meetings with client and internal stakeholders regarding the status and progress of the work
• Extensive coordination with material suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and to develop solutions to logistical and supply-chain challenges.
• Review contract conditions; ensure compliance with all contract terms.
• Effectively manage project risk; evaluate probability and severity of risk events as they are identified/anticipated and prepare mitigation plans with project team and senior management.
