Job summary

Trina Storage North America is seeking a Field Service Engineer to travel to job sites across the United States, commission systems, perform maintenance, and troubleshoot energy storage equipment. You will report to the Field Service Manager and may be called on for after-hours support to coordinate with our global HQ in China.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in field service, engineering or technician background, and experience in industrial maintenance or power plants; solar or renewable energy

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5+ years in a field service role or equivalent.
• Experience as a technician or engineer required.
• Prior solar or renewable energy industry experience preferred.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% and work remotely.

Responsibilities

• Drive technical support for Energy Storage customers on-site and remotely.
• Document site visits and product analysis to improve troubleshooting and installations.
• Lead system commissioning activities at multiple sites.
• Coordinate field dispatches with key customers and partners.
• Participate in partner training and be certified to service them.
• Engage in technical discussions with inverter and EMS partners to resolve issues.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure exceptional customer service.
• Manage field incidents and perform log analysis on batteries and inverters.
• Perform warranty service as needed; travel as required.
• All other tasks as assigned by management.
