Job summary

Mortenson is seeking an Electrical Journeyman responsible for skilled electrical maintenance and installation across projects. You will interpret plans, install and test wiring and equipment, and ensure safety and code compliance. Collaborative teamwork and client-focused service are essential to this role.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, 2+ years of experience, trade certification, and a valid driver’s license. English proficiency preferred; bilingual add-on is a plus.

Qualifications

• Trade or technical school certification/diploma.
• Apprentice aptitude test.
• Union specific training.
• Project specific/Mortenson training.
• Current driver’s license.
• Ability to speak and understand English (Spanish is a plus); read plans; operate equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical wiring, equipment, appliances, fixtures.
• Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
• Test electrical systems and continuity with meters and scopes to ensure safety and compatibility.
• Install, repair, and maintain motors, transformers, generators, lights, circuits and related equipment per codes.
