Mortenson is seeking an Electrical Journeyman to perform skilled maintenance and installation of electrical systems. The role requires reading plans, testing equipment, and ensuring safety and code compliance.

The position involves installing motors, transformers, lights, and high‑voltage systems, with emphasis on teamwork and quality workmanship. A valid driver’s license and English proficiency are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum two years related experience.
• Trade or technical certification/diploma preferred.
• Current driver’s license required.
• Ability to read plans; English proficiency; Spanish a plus.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Lift up to 50 lbs; use assistance for heavier loads.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical wiring and fixtures.
• Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or components.
• Test electrical systems for safety and compatibility with equipment.
• Install and maintain motors, transformers, lights, and circuits.
• Study plans/work orders to determine requirements and sequence.
• Repair and maintain high voltage systems as needed.
• Read prints, lay out work, and install new service.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs; keep tools ready.
