Job summary

Mortenson is seeking a Licensed Electrical Journeyman to provide skilled craftsmanship for maintenance and installation of electrical systems.

You will assemble, install, test, and maintain wiring and equipment, read plans, and ensure safety and code compliance across project sites.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years of related experience required.
• Oklahoma Electrical Journeyman license or reciprocal license required.
• Trade or technical school certification/diploma required.
• Ability to read plans and understand technical drawings.
• Apprentice aptitude test; union training preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Fluent English; Spanish a plus.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical wiring and fixtures.
• Connect wires to breakers, transformers, or components.
• Test systems for safety and compatibility with meters and oscilloscopes.
• Install, repair, and maintain motors, transformers, and lights per codes.
• Study plans and work orders to determine requirements.
• Maintain electrical systems and perform preventive maintenance.
• Read prints and lay out work; install new service.
• Keep supplies ready by placing orders.
• Follow safety standards and regulatory codes.
