Mortenson Construction is seeking an Electrical Journeyman to provide skilled craftsmanship for maintenance and installation of electrical systems in Arizona. You will work from plans, test and troubleshoot, and ensure compliance with codes while collaborating with a diverse team.

The role emphasizes safety, quality workmanship, and effective communication in a field-driven environment with opportunities for continued training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum two years of related electrical experience.
• Trade or technical school certification/diploma.
• Apprentice aptitude test is required.
• Union-specific training and Mortenson-specific training preferred.
• Current driver's license.
• Ability to read English and plans; safe equipment operation.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical wiring and fixtures.
• Connect wires to breakers, transformers, and components.
• Test systems for safety and compatibility using meters and scopes.
• Maintain high voltage systems and electrical equipment.
• Review plans, drawings, and work orders to sequence work.
• Read prints and lay out new service; repair electrical problems.
• Maintain systems with testing and preventive maintenance.
• Ensure safe work environment and comply with codes.
