Job summary

Mortenson is seeking an Electrical Journeyman to provide skilled craftmanship for maintenance and installation of electrical systems in our Salt Lake City area projects. You will assemble, install, test, and maintain wiring, motors, transformers, and related components while following codes and safety standards.

You will read plans, coordinate with team members, and perform preventive maintenance to ensure reliable operation.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED and applicable trade training.
• Experience with electrical maintenance and installation is required.
• Ability to read plans and speak/read English; Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical wiring and fixtures.
• Connect wires to circuit breakers and components; test systems.
• Repair and maintain motors, transformers, and generators.
• Study plans and orders to determine work sequence.
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety standards.
• Maintain and test electrical systems; perform preventive maintenance.
• Organize work, gather tools, and maintain supplies.
• Read prints and install new service; document work completed.
