Job summary

CMTA, a Legence company, is looking for an entry-level mechanical engineer to join our Energy Solutions division. The role supports performance contracting across multiple regions, including Ohio, and offers growth opportunities in HVAC design and commissioning.

The successful candidate thrives on client interaction, has coursework or experience in energy calculations, and is motivated to help clients achieve high-performance building goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline.
• Minimum 0-3 years of experience with an Energy Services company or a consulting engineering/commissioning firm preferred.
• Clear ability to lead all phases of energy projects and engage clients.

Responsibilities

• Develop and present project opportunities to potential clients.
• Support client meetings, industry events, and proposal development.
• Perform site visits, audits, and energy calculations as part of project work.
• Review drawings and specifications for engineering design.
• Assist in bidding to ensure quality and competitiveness.
• Support contract administration activities.
• Coordinate with construction manager for a smooth build.
• Commission installed systems to validate performance.
• Assist clients through warranty phase as needed.
• Collaborate with M&V team to develop M&V reports.
