Job summary

CMTA, a Legence company, seeks an entry-level mechanical engineer to join the Energy Solutions division across multiple regions including Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Florida, Tennessee, Indiana and Ohio. The role supports performance contracts from conception to completion, leveraging HVAC design knowledge to lead energy projects for clients.

Qualifications

• 0-3 years of experience with an Energy Services company or a consulting engineering/commissioning firm is preferred.
• HVAC design and commissioning background is valuable for transitioning to an energy engineer within our Energy Solutions group.

Responsibilities

• Develop and present project opportunities to potential clients.
• Support client meetings, industry events, and proposal development.
• Project development including site visits, audits, and energy calculations.
• Engineering design review of drawings and specifications.
• Support the bidding process to ensure quality and competitive outcomes.
• Help facilitate the contract administration process.
• Work with the construction manager to ensure a smooth construction period.
• Commission installed systems to validate performance.
• Support the client through the warranty phase as needed.
• Work with our M&V professional to develop M&V reports.
