Job summary

CBRE Building Engineer position focusing on monitoring, maintaining, and repairing building systems including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and fire/life safety. You will support preventive maintenance programs and ensure compliance with codes and safety directives.

You will also manage energy efficiency efforts, respond to emergencies, mentor junior staff, and uphold CBRE's RISE values in day-to-day operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of related experience.
• Combination of experience and education considered in lieu of a diploma.
• Universal CFC certification preferred; other licenses as required by jurisdiction.
• Shift management or supervisory experience preferred.
• Physical requirements include lifting up to 50 lbs and staying on feet.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong math and financial calculation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, monitor, repair building systems including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and fire/life safety.
• Ensure facilities operations meet applicable codes and company safety directives.
• Manage energy use and implement preventive maintenance programs.
• Respond to emergencies and perform repairs as needed.
• Adhere to safe storage/disposal policies for hazardous materials.
• Review building systems to ensure performance aligns with design specs and environmental conditions.
• Share knowledge and mentor others within the team.
• Lead by example and encourage consensus within CBRE RISE values.
