Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Building Engineer to monitor, maintain, and repair building systems across plumbing, electrical, heating, cooling, and related components. This role supports preventive maintenance and ensures safe, compliant operation of facilities.

You will help manage energy usage, respond to emergencies, and participate in safety programs while aligning with CBRE standards and client expectations. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of job-related experience.
• Universal CFC certification is preferred.
• Certifications/licenses as may be required by local or state jurisdictions.
• Prior shift management or supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs to mechanical, plumbing, structural, furniture, fire, life safety, and control systems.
• Ensure building systems meet applicable codes, regulations, and safety directives.
• Maintain an energy management program to optimize system efficiency.
• Assist with preventive maintenance programs to extend equipment life.
• Follow policies for safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials.
• Review building systems like fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing for design compliance.
• Apply standard principles to solve complex assignments and share knowledge with the team.
• Lead by example and help build consensus within CBRE RISE values.
• Impact customer, operational, and service activities within the team and related groups.
• Work within broad guidelines and policies.
