Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a Building Engineer to monitor, maintain, and repair building systems including mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and controls. The role supports preventive maintenance and safety programs across facilities.

You will be responsible for keeping systems in optimal condition, complying with codes, and assisting with energy efficiency initiatives while collaborating with team members and supervising staff as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 4–5 years of related experience preferred.
• Ability to exercise judgment based on analysis of multiple sources of information.
• Experience with supervisory roles is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong math skills including percentages and basic financial calculations.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs on mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and building systems to keep facilities up to code and safe.
• Follow codes, regulations, and safety directives related to building operations and materials handling.
• Maintain energy management to ensure systems operate efficiently.
• Contribute to preventive maintenance programs and perform emergency repairs as needed.
• Keep the workplace clean and safe, following hazardous materials handling procedures.
• Review inspections of building systems to ensure operations meet design specifications.
• Share knowledge with team members and support other disciplines within the function.
• Model CBRE RISE values and help build consensus across teams.
