The role involves negotiating power transactions, advising on electric market design, and representing clients before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. The salary range is between $190,000 and $390,000 annually, depending on qualifications.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of experience in energy law, preferably with regulatory and transactional experience.
• Familiarity with the Federal Power Act and power market mechanics.
• Ability to draft bespoke energy contracts.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate sophisticated power purchase agreements.
• Advise on complex electric market design issues within RTOs/ISOs.
• Represent clients before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.
• Counsel on emerging energy policy and renewable energy integration.
