Job summary

This role involves negotiating power agreements, advising on market design, and representing clients before regulatory bodies. The ideal candidate has 3–6 years of energy law experience, a JD from an accredited law school, and the ability to draft contracts.

The compensation ranges from $190,000 to $390,000 annually, along with various benefits including medical insurance, a 401(k) plan, and paid holidays.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of experience in energy law, with regulatory and transactional experience.
• Familiarity with the Federal Power Act and power market mechanics.
• Ability to draft bespoke energy contracts.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate power purchase agreements and energy service agreements.
• Advise on complex electric market design issues within RTOs/ISOs.
• Represent clients in proceedings before the FERC.
• Counsel clients on emerging energy policy and procurement strategies.
