Ohio University is seeking an Energy Plant Operating Engineer to manage and operate the campus energy facilities, including heating and chilled water systems, ensuring safe and reliable production and distribution.

The role requires knowledge of steam boiler operations and water treatment, with the ability to lead a shift and train other staff while maintaining compliance with OSHA and university safety guidelines.

Formación

• License required: Stationary Steam Engineers License (4104.19) and Ohio Dept. of Commerce requirements.
• Knowledge of boiler, chiller, water treatment and related plant operations.
• Ability to operate high-pressure boilers and related equipment safely.

Responsabilidades

• Operate energy plant facilities (heating, chilled water, water treatment) to supply campus needs.
• Modulate boilers, chillers, and subsystems; respond to operating and emergency conditions.
• Provide guidance and training to other energy plant staff on shift.
