Job summary

Atelier Ten’s New York office seeks a Design Staff with a specialty in Energy Analysis to advance energy efficiency and carbon reduction goals across diverse building projects. You will produce technical deliverables, run whole building energy models, and develop HVAC strategies in a collaborative, interdisciplinary team.

You’ll lead energy analysis efforts, consult on projects, attend meetings, and help decarbonize the built environment while working on-site in NYC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher degree in Architectural or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in building energy analysis and high-performance HVAC design for commercial buildings.
• Familiarity with ASHRAE standards and green building rating systems.

Responsibilities

• Learn internal energy analysis methodologies following ASHRAE 90.1 and other standards.
• Develop energy models (IES-VE, EnergyPlus, eQUEST) to support analyses.
• Coordinate sustainability assessments and energy benchmarking for projects.
• Collaborate with architects and design teams to recommend energy and carbon improvements.
• Document energy model inputs/outputs and present results to stakeholders.
• Maintain in-house databases and tools related to energy analysis.
