Atelier Ten US is seeking a full-time Environmental Designer with a specialty in Energy Analysis in our New York City office. You will perform whole-building energy modeling, develop HVAC strategies, and lead decarbonization efforts for a range of projects.

This role emphasizes collaboration with an interdisciplinary team to advance high-performance buildings. You will contribute to energy benchmarking, climate impact mitigation, and life-cycle cost analyses while advancing the firm’s

Qualifications

• Fluent in English (verbal and written).
• Bachelor’s or higher in Architectural/Mechanical/Architectural Engineering, Building Science, or Sustainable Building Design.
• 2–5 years in building energy analysis or high‑performance HVAC design.

Responsibilities

• Develop and run whole-building energy models (IES-VE and/or eQuest).
• Analyze envelope performance, HVAC systems, and energy strategies.
• Collaborate with architects and design teams to reduce energy use and carbon emissions.
• Prepare technical reports and build energy analysis deliverables for clients.
• Support development of climate impact mitigation strategies and life-cycle cost analyses.
