Job summary

Fluidstack seeks an experienced professional to lead diligence for frontier compute infrastructure projects in the New York area. You will build power-cost models, assess grid interconnections, and prepare concise, decision-ready analyses for senior leadership.

You will track markets, tariffs, and gas fundamentals, supporting live negotiations and structured diligence packages for lenders and counterparties.

Qualifications

• You've built a model that someone traded, invested, or committed capital off, and you can defend every assumption under pressure.
• You've read a contract, tariff, or study report closely and pulled out the terms that actually change the economics.
• You turn a disordered data room into a one-page recommendation that names the decision driver.

Responsibilities

• Diligence prospective sites across routes to power, grid interconnection and behind-the-meter generation, delivering go/no-go recommendations in days.
• Build and own delivered power cost models across candidate sites and paths, from tariffs to gas basis and transport.
• Be the single source of truth on site status, study milestones, fuel positions, and required next steps.
• Run diligence files on live sites, tariff filings, interconnection studies, interconnect agreements, air permits, offtake term sheets, and generation specs.
• Support Leads through live negotiations with term sheet comparisons, sensitivity runs, counterparty/credit screens, and the pivotal one-number decision.
• Track markets and policy, ISO processes, rate cases, tariff changes, and gas fundamentals in the basins we invest in.
