Résumé du poste

Fluidstack is hiring for a role focused on evaluating power generation sites, interconnections, and behind‑the‑meter options. The role emphasizes rigorous modeling, contract analysis, and clear, fast recommendations to drive investments in AI infrastructure deployment.

The candidate will build cost models, manage due diligence files, and support negotiations with data, insights, and decisive conclusions. This is a high‑intensity, end‑to‑end ownership position within Fluidstack’s frontier compute

Qualifications

  • You’ve built a model that someone traded, invested, or committed capital off, and you can defend every assumption under pressure.
  • You’ve read a contract, tariff, or study report closely and pulled out the two or three terms that actually change the economics.
  • You turn a disordered data room into a one page recommendation that names the decision focus.
  • You’ve found a material error in someone else’s work before it reached a decision maker and spoke up.
  • You’ve adapted quickly to a market or asset class you didn’t know and got up to speed within weeks.

Responsabilités

  • Diligence prospective sites across paths to power, grid interconnection and behind‑the‑meter generation, turning each into a go/no-go recommendation.
  • Build and own the delivered cost of power model across candidate sites and paths, including tariffs, upgrades, gas, transport, heat rate, and meter‑level exposure.
  • Be the single source of truth on site status, milestones, contracts, and what happens next.
  • Run diligence files on live sites, tariff filings, interconnection studies, and related agreements, ready for lender review.
  • Support Leads with live negotiations, term sheet comparisons, sensitivity runs, and credit screens.

Description du poste

About Fluidstack

We exist to make humanity more free. For most of human history, you farmed or you starved. Technology gave people more time for the things they wanted to do, instead of things they had to do. Powerful AI will be the biggest lever for human choice we've ever built - but only if models are aligned with what humanity actually wants. There are groups building AI who don't share these goals. Whoever deploys frontier compute infrastructure fastest will decide whether AI expands human freedom or shrinks it.

We're singularly focused on delivering 10 to 100s of GWs of compute faster than anyone else, rethinking every layer of the stack. We acquire power, design and build data centers, and operate them - with teams spanning hardware and software. Speed and scale are our key differentiators. Come be a part of building civilization-scale infrastructure for AI.

We hire people who care deeply about this problem space.

How We Operate
  • Be a barrel. Full autonomy. Own things end to end, take on scope without being asked, no permission required to operate outside your core role.
  • Insane urgency. We drive everything forward as fast as possible.
  • Reason from first principles. Challenge every assumption. Zero analogy thinking, no egos, the best idea wins.
  • Love of the game. The frontier of AI is the most interesting problem of our time. We put in long hours at high intensity to push the frontier forward.
  • Build something that actually matters. If you're going to spend your time, spend it on something that matters to the world.
Role Scope
  • Diligence prospective sites across both paths to power, grid interconnection and behind-the-meter generation, and turn each one into a go or no-go recommendation in days rather than weeks.
  • Build and own the delivered cost of power model across candidate sites and both paths, from tariffs and network upgrade exposure on the grid side to gas basis, transport, heat rate, and availability behind the meter.
  • Be the single source of truth on where every site stands, queue position and study milestones on the grid side, contracted fuel and generation position behind the meter, and what has to happen next on each.
  • Run the diligence file on every live site, tariff filings and interconnection studies, pipeline and interconnect agreements, air permits, offtake term sheets, and generation specifications, kept clean enough to walk a counterparty or a lender through cold.
  • Support the Leads through live negotiations with term sheet comparisons, sensitivity runs, counterparty and credit screens, and the one number that decides the question, delivered before the next call rather than after it.
  • Track the markets and the policy that set the rules we build under, ISO large load processes, rate cases and tariff changes, and gas fundamentals in the basins we are buying into.
What We're Looking For
  • You've built a model that someone traded, invested, or committed capital off, and you can defend every assumption in it under pressure.
  • You've read a contract, tariff, or study report closely and pulled out the two or three terms that actually change the economics, rather than summarising the whole thing.
  • You turn a disordered data room into a one page recommendation that names the thing the decision actually turns on.
  • You've caught a material error in someone else's work before it reached a decision maker, and you raised it rather than working around it.
  • You've been dropped into a market or an asset class you did not know and been useful inside a few weeks, and you can point to how you got up to speed.
  • You write up what you found the same day you found it, so a site file never depends on what is in your head.
  • Bonus: Commodities trading or analytics desks in gas or power (basis, storage, transport, fundamentals). Origination and structuring teams, especially PPA and offtake work. Large load or generator interconnection across one or more ISOs (ERCOT, PJM, MISO, SPP, WECC). Transaction diligence from M&A, project finance, or infrastructure investing. Behind-the-meter or distributed generation development. Modelling and data tooling (Python, SQL, ICE and CME data, Wood Mackenzie, Velocity Suite).
The below is a starting point. We always make space for exceptional people, so if you don't fit this role exactly, tell us where you would.

We are committed to pay equity and transparency.
