Job summary

LS Power in New York City invites applications for its Rotational Analyst Program. This early-career track offers hands-on experiences across Private Equity, Energy Marketing & Trading, and Asset Management, with three rotations over 18 months.

Analysts will rotate to build a broad, cross-functional understanding of LS Power’s portfolio and strategy. Based in NYC, participants gain exposure to market fundamentals, investment modeling, operations, and policy considerations, while developing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; finance, economics, engineering, business, environmental studies or related field preferred.
• 0–2 years of professional experience; internships acceptable.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; Excel proficiency.
• Interest in energy markets, infrastructure investing, asset management, or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Participate in rotational program across multiple LS Power business areas, including but not limited to Private Equity, Energy Marketing & Trading, and Asset Management.
• Support live projects and analyses that contribute to investment, commercial, operational, and asset-level decision-making.
• Conduct market, financial, operational, and industry research to support business priorities.
• Assist with internal reporting, presentations, dashboards, and briefing materials for cross-functional stakeholders.
• Build a broad understanding of LS Power’s business model, portfolio, culture, and cross-functional ways of working.
• Spend time with Asset Management and site-level teams to gain exposure to asset operations, performance drivers, and environmental considerations.
• Develop strong analytical, communication, and business judgment skills through hands-on experience across rotations.
