Job summary

HomeWorks Energy is seeking a Home Energy Specialist to perform Mass Save energy assessments, model homes, and diagnose energy usage while recommending improvements. The role combines fieldwork with sales, requiring strong communication and the ability to guide customers through contracts and paperwork.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma (Bachelor’s preferred), valid MA license, and proven customer service or sales experience. Travel is required and training is provided.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
• Valid MA driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel required.
• Previous customer service and sales experience preferred.
• MASS Save program knowledge a plus.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with strong organization and time management skills.
• Must work independently as the role is primarily field based.
• Excellent verbal, written, and listening skills.
• Outgoing, flexible, and personable demeanor.
• Requires proficiency in reading, writing, and communicating in English.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Mass Save home energy assessments.
• Use energy efficiency software to model homes and generate energy savings reports.
• Recommend energy-saving measures such as insulation and high-efficiency HVAC systems.
• Initiate sales and secure service contracts.
• Provide exceptional customer service and educate homeowners on energy efficiency benefits.
• Organize and guide customers through paperwork processes.
• Install energy-saving products during assessments and complete documentation.
• Collaborate with internal divisions to cross-sell products and services.
