New York City Public Schools seeks an Energy Analyst to support data quality, benchmarking, metering, and reporting for energy use across about 1,300 buildings in NYC's school portfolio. You will collaborate with the Office of Energy & Sustainability, central offices, and external partners to identify trends and opportunities for energy efficiency and emissions reductions.

The role requires comfort with large datasets, stakeholders, and strong analytical capabilities to inform leadership

Qualifications

• Doctorate or Master’s degree with relevant specialization in physical, biological, environmental or social science.
• Strong experience with large datasets and data validation.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Responsabilités

• Lead advanced analytical research on energy consumption trends and emissions performance.
• Design data methodologies and validation processes for citywide energy reporting.
• Develop predictive insights and research-backed recommendations for planning.
• Produce dashboards and briefs for senior leadership and cross-agency partners.
• Coordinate with SCA, DEM, utility providers and internal teams on data integrity.
• Support Local Law 84 benchmarking data updates in EPA Portfolio Manager.
