Job summary

Ladgov Corporation in Latham, NY is seeking a Utility Analyst to pull and audit utility bills, ensure bills are received for every facility and billing period, and support energy management initiatives.

You will utilize Utility Manager Pro/Energy Center tools, create reports and graphs, review meter data, and help expand metering with site requirements by energy type; strong Excel and Oracle skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in accounting, business, construction management, or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in analysis in a related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, planning, organization, and time management skills.
• Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office (with a strong emphasis on Excel), database programs, and accounting software (Oracle preferred).

Responsibilities

• Pull utility bills from the FileNet program.
• Ensure a utility bill is received for each facility for every billing period.
• Audit all utility bills to verify charges and usage.
• Pursue reimbursement from utilities for incorrectly billed bills.
• Identify billing issues and unusual usage; notify Energy Manager.
• Identify trends and peak billing cycles for Energy Manager.
• Create graphs, charts, diagrams, and reports from trend data.
• Review meter data and compare bill charges regularly.
• Assist Energy Manager in expanding the metering program with site requirements by energy type.
• Use auditing tools in Utility Manager Pro/Energy Center to verify data and analyze usage patterns.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Business, Construction Management, or equivalent work experience
