Job summary

NYC Department of Citywide Administrative Services (DCAS) seeks a City Research Scientist to support Energy Management data reporting and analytics. You will develop dashboards, ensure data quality, and help translate large datasets into actionable insights for city agencies.

The analyst will create new reporting solutions, reconcile data, maintain procedures, and contribute to improving efficiency and policy recommendations across DCAS.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in appropriate field of physical, biological, environmental or public health.
• Doctorate with supervisory/administrative or research experience, or Master's with related experience; substitutions allowed.

Responsibilities

• Develop new reporting and analytics solutions and document best practices for DEM data.
• Maintain data integrity in shared drives; develop data QA protocols and SOPs.
• Perform data reconciliation and improve accuracy and efficiency.
• Develop QA protocols and SOPs.
• Develop dashboards and visualizations using Power BI.
• Make recommendations on policies and procedures.
• Support organizational development through staff engagement.
• Assist with internal communications regarding policies and DEM messaging.
• Assist with other assignments as needed.
