Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in a relevant field with two years of budget/financial experience, or four years with other degrees.
• Experience with budget administration, accounting, economic/financial analysis, or fiscal management.
• Supervisory experience of staff performing related professional work.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing the annual citywide budget and track estimates from agencies.
• Analyze and summarize energy-related budget information using existing processes.
• Develop additional analysis processes and rate tables based on utility structures.
• Prepare contracts and documents to support bill payments and FMS monitoring.
• Monitor payments, balances, and encumbrances using the city’s Financial Management System (FMS).
• Perform monthly utility billing tasks and respond to inquiries; provide results to leadership.
