Job summary

Vornado Realty Trust's Sustainability group seeks a full-time Analyst in our New York office to support the VP, Engineering with utility and emissions data analysis across the portfolio. This role serves as the source of record for energy consumption, greenhouse gas data, and ENERGY STAR program coordination, driving accuracy, auditability, and timely reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental science or related quantitative field.
• 2-5 years of professional experience in energy data analysis or sustainability reporting, CRE experience preferred.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency with large multi-year datasets.
• Working knowledge of ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager and data quality troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with GHG accounting under the GHG Protocol (location vs market-based Scope 2).
• Attention to detail and strong data integrity, version control, and documentation.
• Ability to manage multiple deliverables against deadlines.
• Clear written and verbal communication to non-technical colleagues.
• Collaborative, positive team player with operations and engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the portfolio-wide utility dataset across fuels and commodities.
• Reconcile utility billing with ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager and internal systems.
• Build and maintain analytical workbooks and recurring reports.
• Support M&V of capital projects with normalized baseline data.
• Serve as primary contact for ENERGY STAR program and data submissions.
• Prepare data for sustainability reporting and disclosures.
