Job summary

Metropolitan Family Service seeks an Energy Assistance Coordinator to lead outreach and enrollment for energy assistance in Multnomah County. You will manage eligibility, coordinate with partners, and document services with attention to equity.

The role requires strong communication, collaboration, and data management skills, with hybrid work options and a focus on families with children and vulnerable households.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in public service, recreation, or human services; MSW or MA preferred.
• Minimum 2 years in social services, family support, housing stabilization, or case management.
• Experience with outreach, marketing and community engagement.
• Bi-lingual in languages other than English preferred (Spanish preferred).
• Strong knowledge of trauma-informed, equity-centered practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop outreach strategies to engage Multnomah County families in energy assistance programs.
• Verify eligibility and document income per OHCS guidelines.
• Manage participant cases, ensuring timely intake, action steps, and confidentiality.
• Maintain accurate client files, data and compliance with funders.
• Collaborate with SUN Site Managers, 211 Info, Multnomah County and partners.
