Job summary

The Alliance for Community Empowerment Inc. is seeking an Assurance 16 Specialist to provide direct case management across service areas and ensure CEAP documentation and DSS compliance.

You will collaborate with local utility companies to mediate services for clients and help complete applications. The role requires an Associate degree in Behavioral Science or related field (or a high school diploma with 3 years’ experience), strong communication, data entry accuracy, and the ability to work

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to prepare documents/reports.
• Excellent communication skills with diverse populations and in high-stress situations.
• Ability to maintain client confidentiality and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Maintain understanding of CEAP program policies for intake and certification.
• Understand Assurance 16 eligibility criteria and client case management.
• Understand local utility company requirements and eligibility standards.
• Interview customers to determine eligibility for Assurance 16 interventions.
• Assist clients in completing enrollment applications and data entry.
• Refer customers to internal and community resources and assist with financial eligibility where applicable.
• Provide excellent customer service and respond to program inquiries.
• De-escalate challenging situations and make sound decisions.
• Help clients develop strategies to improve financial and personal well-being.
• Participate in community outreach events.
