Job summary

Glumac, a Tetra Tech company, is seeking an Energy Analyst in Los Angeles to advance building energy efficiency and decarbonization goals. You will develop models, analyze data, and recommend sustainable strategies in collaboration with engineers and owners.

The role supports energy audits, retro-commissioning, and net-zero planning, with a hybrid work setup and two in-office days weekly in LA. Bachelor’s in a technical field is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or related field; strong fundamentals.
• Knowledge of MEP systems, sustainable design, and decarbonized energy systems.
• Strong problem-solving, quantitative, and analytical abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks independently and in teams; strong time management.
• Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; no visa sponsorship expected.

Responsibilities

• Develop and analyze building energy models for new and existing buildings.
• Evaluate energy performance data and identify efficiency opportunities.
• Assess MEP systems and design strategies for electrification and decarbonization.
• Support energy audits, retro-commissioning, and building optimization initiatives.
• Perform analyses for net-zero energy and carbon neutrality planning.
• Support energy code analyses under ASHRAE 90.1, IECC, and Title 24.
• Prepare technical reports and client-ready presentations communicating findings.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, owners, and stakeholders to meet schedules and budgets.
