Job summary

Glumac, a Tetra Tech company, is seeking an Energy Analyst in Irvine, CA to advance building energy efficiency and decarbonization goals. You will develop and analyze energy models for new and existing buildings, evaluate data, and prepare technical reports for stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Must have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or related field.
• Knowledge of MEP systems and decarbonized energy solutions.
• Strong problem-solving, quantitative, and analytical abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Organizational and time-management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and analyze building energy models for new construction, existing buildings, and renovation projects to evaluate energy performance and identify efficiency opportunities.
• Analyze utility consumption, building trend data, energy systems, and operational information to identify energy-saving opportunities.
• Evaluate mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems and sustainable design strategies to support energy efficiency and decarbonization goals.
• Support energy audits, retro-commissioning, commissioning, and other building optimization services, including data collection and documentation.
• Perform technical analyses to support net-zero energy and carbon neutrality planning efforts.
• Support energy code and standards analyses under ASHRAE 90.1, IECC, CA Title 24, and other codes.
• Prepare calculations, technical reports, presentations, and deliverables communicating findings to clients.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, owners, and stakeholders to meet schedules and budgets.
