What you'll be doing:
- Prospecting and Lead Generation: Identify and cultivate potential clients through proactive outreach, cold calling, and networking. This is a HUNTING sales role.
- Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong client relationships, foster long-term partnerships, and ensure customer satisfaction and renewals.
- Client Consultations: Meet with clients to understand their energy needs, risk tolerance, and how 5 can best serve them.
- Continuously Learning: Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitors to identify opportunities and maintain a competitive edge.
- Sales Presentations: Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, effectively communicating the benefits of energy products and services to potential clients with an executive-level presence.
- Negotiation and Closing: Address client concerns and objections skillfully to close sales and meet revenue targets.
- Collaboration with Teams: Work with internal teams, such as operations and management, to ensure a seamless customer experience and align sales strategies with business goals.
- CRM Management: Use CRM tools like HubSpot to track leads, manage accounts, and optimize the sales process.
What you'll bring:
- At least 3 years of experience in the energy industry (retail gas/electricity, sustainability, solar, demand response, etc.) or a related field.
- 3+ years of B2B outside sales experience.
- Experience in prospecting and networking to identify new business opportunities.
- Ability to work independently with high autonomy, yet embrace team collaboration, demonstrating resilience and determination.
- Effective collaboration skills and the ability to drive sales initiatives independently.
- Ambition, passion, teamwork, and grit.
- BA/BS degree preferred.
$75,000 - $175,000 a year
Base Salary: Typically ranges from $75,000 to $175,000 per year, with potential to earn more based on experience and skills.
Commission Structure: Uncapped commissions, with top performers earning well above base salary.
