Job summary

Voyager Technologies in Pueblo, CO seeks an Energetics Technician I for the 2nd shift to support energetic production, assembly, and testing of energetic materials and propulsion components. This hands-on role operates in a controlled manufacturing environment, following strict safety and quality procedures under minimal supervision.

You will assist manufacturing Operators, handle energetic materials, and work with precision mechanical parts and equipment.

Qualifications

• Must be able and willing to work 2nd shift (10:30am–9:00pm MDT).
• Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with tools.
• Understanding of manufacturing documentation (work orders, drawings, travelers).
• Ability to follow written instructions in controlled or explosive environments.
• Attention to detail and adherence to safety procedures.
• Basic computer/data entry skills (Word/Excel/ERP).
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 13 years of experience in manufacturing, chemical processing, or energetics preferred.
• Completion of DoD Explosives Safety or equivalent training within first month.
• Eligible to obtain State and Federal explosives licenses (21+, drug test, background checks).

Responsibilities

• This job requires working with explosives. Teamwork is important for safety.
• Assemble and process energetic components and rocket hardware per work instructions and travelers.
• Operate and maintain standard production and mixing equipment under supervision.
• Follow all safety, environmental, and explosive ordnance handling protocols.
• Record production data, inspection results, and material traceability per ISO 9001 and internal procedures.
• Perform visual inspections and basic measurements using calipers, scales, and gauges.
• Maintain clean, organized, and compliant work areas, including classified spaces.
• Support preventive maintenance tasks and calibration checks on production equipment.
• Report irregularities, safety incidents, or nonconforming conditions promptly to supervision.
