Job summary

Voyager Technologies is hiring an Energetics Operator II for the 3rd shift to support energetic production efforts. The role operates multiple machines, assists with changeovers, and mentors Operator I while ensuring quality and throughput.

It is onsite in Penrose, CO and Pueblo, CO with a strong emphasis on safety. The candidate must pass explosives licensing requirements, work 3rd shift hours, and maintain detailed production records.

Qualifications

• Must be able and willing to work 3rd shift hours (8:30 PM - 7:00 AM MDT, Mon-Thu)
• Hazardous material handling and explosive safety principles
• Follow batch sheets and production travelers with accuracy
• Quality control documentation requirements
• Operate mechanical or automated production equipment
• Safety focus and reliability in hazardous environments
• Basic mechanical aptitude and measuring tools familiarity
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain explosives licenses (state & federal)

Responsibilities

• Operate one or more production lines or machines per standard work
• Perform in-process inspections and document quality results
• Assist with setups and changeovers, tooling, fixtures, and parameter adjustments
• Train and mentor Operator I employees on safe operation
• Maintain production, quality, and downtime records in logs/ERP/MES
• Follow 5S, safety, and housekeeping standards; engage in continuous improvement
• Participate in cross-training to learn additional operations
