Job summary

Empowered Pilates in Mesa, AZ is seeking certified Pilates instructors to teach at the Mesa-area studios or across multiple Empowered Pilates locations based on availability.

Ideal candidates are positive, enthusiastic, and customer-service oriented, able to lead group reformer classes and private sessions using equipment like Reformers, EXO Chairs, TRX, Springboards, and barre, while delivering engaging, safe workouts.

Qualifications

• Current Pilates certification (full apparatus Pilates Certification with 500+ hours of experience or equivalent is a plus).
• Experience teaching group classes.
• Ability to demonstrate effective group Pilates instruction.
• Energetic, positive, inclusive, and motivational teaching style.
• Capable of using a contemporary approach to classical exercises.
• Punctual, reliable, and dedicated.
• Focus on exceptional customer service, including professional and effective communication skills.
• Ability to work harmoniously as part of a team.
• Ability to adapt and evolve in an ever-changing fast-paced diverse environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead Pilates group reformer classes pursuant to Club Pilates standards.
• Provide a safe and effective workout for up to 12 members per class, using equipment including Reformer, Springboard, Exo-Chair, Bosu Ball, Magic Circle, etc.
• Prepare creative class flows that are challenging and level appropriate.
• Uphold our core values to ensure a positive studio culture that is inclusive and encouraging.
• Conduct private sessions, semi-private sessions, workshops, private events, and other sessions as needed.
• Inspect the equipment prior to each class to ensure it is in good working order and safe to use.
• Maintain a clean and orderly workout environment.
• Assist with membership sales and checking clients in.
• Participate in special events as needed to promote the studio.
• Build studio revenue by promoting retail, membership sales, events, and services by delivering the “Message of the Week” after every class.
• Be a motivating and inspiring force to promote our motto: Do Pilates. Do Life.
• Other duties as assigned
