Job summary

Valor is seeking an Energetic Material Lead Industrial Technician to join our manufacturing team in Grand Junction, CO. You will lead blending and handling of energetic powders, track inventory, and perform analysis such as calorimetry and particle size tests, while maintaining strict safety and quality standards.

The role supports NPI activities, process improvements, and documentation of new manufacturing processes in a highly regulated environment.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident status required.
• Must pass pre- and post-hire background checks.
• Must pass drug screenings.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Experience with propellants, explosives, or related regulated processes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and/or assist in blending and handling energetic powders in bulk quantities.
• Track and document energetic powder inventory.
• Perform routine powder characterization and analysis (calorimetry, particle size).
• Maintain safety and quality standards throughout blending.
• Assist in developing manufacturing processes and document changes.
• Engage in NPI activities and process improvement efforts.
