Job summary

Hook & Reel is seeking a friendly Server to join our fast-paced Cajun seafood dining team. You will greet guests, answer menu questions, relay orders to kitchen, and help ensure a smooth, enjoyable dining experience.

The ideal candidate thrives on interaction, maintains a positive attitude, can multitask between dining room and bar, and is flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Prior restaurant experience and state food handler certification are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet all guests promptly and warmly upon arrival.
• Answer guest questions regarding the menu and Hook & Reel brand.
• Provide accurate information regarding menu, pricing, hours, promotions, and policies.
• Listen attentively to guests to ensure correct orders.
• Assist with side work and opening/closing tasks.
• Clean and organize the front-of-house server station.
• Observe and monitor table turnover by taking note of occupied, dirty or clean tables.
• Ensure guest satisfaction by providing quality service and checking in regularly throughout the dining experience.
• Inform management of special requests or guest concerns.
• Communicate clearly with kitchen staff and management regarding allergy orders.
• Maintain a positive, energetic attitude at all times.
• Multi-task between bar and dining room orders.
• Be a team player, assisting other team members.
• Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return.
• Additional responsibilities as assigned.
