Job summary

Northwestern University is seeking an IT endpoint support specialist in Evanston to provide workstation setup, end-user support, and device management. You will work on imaging, backup, security configurations, and lifecycle planning for university devices.

Responsibilities include diagnosing issues, maintaining documentation, and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure high customer satisfaction. The role requires experience with Windows and macOS, Office apps, and security best practices.

Qualifications

• 2 years IT, CS user support or other relevant experience required.
• Adobe Creative Cloud Suite experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with LDAP, OneDrive and SharePoint.
• Information security practices and desktop security awareness.
• Windows and macOS operating systems knowledge and support.

Responsibilities

• Provides endpoint technology support for Northwestern University customers.
• Configures, installs, and troubleshoots core desktop operating systems and productivity apps.
• Maintains security standards, including antivirus provisioning, patching, and encryption configuration.
• Imaging, backup, and restoration services for managed devices; asset lifecycle management.
• Responds to tickets; coordinates with campus departments and may visit client sites.
