Job summary

Northwestern University is seeking a temporary Full-time IT Support Specialist for the Evanston campus. The role covers first-level IT support for faculty, staff, and students, with on-site work Monday–Friday, 40 hours per week, at $30.00 per hour.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting Windows and macOS, software, printers, and classroom tech, plus device setup, account access help, and documenting activities.

Northwestern University is seeking a temporary Full-time IT Support Specialist for the Evanston campus.

Temporary Job Description:

• Provide first-level technical support for faculty, staff, and students, including troubleshooting Windows and macOS computers, software applications, printers, and basic classroom technology.
• The technician will respond to service requests, perform device setup and deployment, assist with account and access issues, document support activities, and escalations complex problems as needed.
• Strong customer service and communication skills, along with basic knowledge of desktop support, hardware troubleshooting, and Microsoft 365, are required.

In addition to salary, this temporary position is eligible for paid time off and paid sick time in accordance with Northwestern University policies. This position is not eligible for other benefits offered to regular staff positions.
