Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat is seeking a Desktop Engineer to support enterprise endpoint management, software deployment, and advanced desktop engineering initiatives. The role requires hands-on expertise with Microsoft Intune and PowerShell, plus strong packaging and troubleshooting skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Desktop Engineering, Endpoint Engineering, or a related role.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune.
• Strong PowerShell scripting and automation skills.
• Experience with application packaging and deployment.
• Proven Tier 3 troubleshooting experience in an enterprise environment.
• Strong understanding of Windows operating systems and endpoint technologies.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support endpoint management solutions using Microsoft Intune.
• Package, deploy, and troubleshoot enterprise applications.
• Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation and system administration.
• Serve as the Tier 3 escalation point for complex desktop, application, and endpoint issues.
• Support device lifecycle management, patching, and desktop engineering projects.
• Partner with Infrastructure and Security teams to maintain endpoint standards and best practices.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
