Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) seeks a Systems Engineer Sr Principal to advance enterprise IT for government clients. You will help design desktop environments across Windows, macOS, and Linux, and drive secure, STIG-compliant configurations in collaboration with a skilled team.

You will work onsite at Annapolis Junction, MD or Sterling, VA, contributing to DISA, SHB, and endpoint strategy with strong scripting and integration of enterprise tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field and 6+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of end-user computing environments (Windows, macOS) and supporting infrastructure (AD, GPOs, SCCM).
• Experience deploying and managing enterprise Windows 10/11 environments and scripting (Python, PowerShell, Bash).

Responsibilities

• Develop endpoint environment strategy aligned with CIO roadmaps.
• Maintain DISA-approved WIM and SHB, and transfer to enclaves as needed.
• Deploy Windows/Office security updates and manage group policy objects (GPOs).
• Create and maintain desktop images and software packaging with PSADT.
• Document configuration guides and IT technical documentation.
• Support STIG/compliance requirements and lifecycle for desktop environments.
